Created from the ground up to solve a complex challenge, this project demonstrates innovative problem solving with applications across diverse learning ecosystems.

Instructional Problem

Manually grouping learners by skill level and assigning differentiated materials is time-consuming and error-prone, especially in environments with varied proficiency. Facilitators needed an efficient, scalable way to identify learner needs, deliver appropriate content, and monitor progress over time.

To guide development, I conducted a needs analysis, including stakeholder interviews and informal surveys. The results confirmed that time constraints and inconsistent differentiation were persistent challenges across groups.

Solution

I designed and implemented a custom system using Google Apps Script to integrate Forms, Sheets, and Slides. The tool automatically groups learners based on pre-assessment results, distributes level-appropriate materials, and generates real-time performance summaries, including post-assessment reports showing growth and percentage change.

This system supports adaptive learning by adjusting content delivery to each individual’s performance level, streamlining differentiation, and enabling personalized instruction at scale.

Impact

The tool saves 30–45 minutes per session by automating grouping, content delivery, and assessment tracking. It improves instructional decisions by providing clear pre/post data for feedback, intervention, and progress monitoring. 

Ongoing Development

This is an active, evolving project. I am currently leading the design and delivery of training sessions and coaching to support adoption. Feedback from these sessions continues to inform system refinement.
